RALY x TENZING - 17.10.25

Friday Night Lights. We wanted and expected a more competitive event this time round. And it totally exceeded all expectations.

32 players lined up to play in our inaugural RALY Champs knockout tournament. It was under the lights this time on a Friday evening. We had players arriving 30 mins early, stretching around the courts, fuelling up with a TENZING (our drinks provider for the evening). It was clear that the stakes this time were higher…

Plenty of supporters flooded in throughout the evening to show their support, as pairs came in and out of the 3 glass boxes at the Yard - those knocked out in their 1 set shoot outs joined the supporters at the bar to cheer on the remaining duos. We had our ‘Friday Night Lights’ Players’ Tee on sale which proved immensely popular - all sold out on the evening.

The games became quicker, edgier and more intense as the evening went on and the barrels behind the bar slowly drained.

For the grand finale, we had a showdown between D’Oyly & Tate vs Millar & Metcalfe - the latter pairing clearly making an impression that evening as the favourites, but all 4 players clearly being natural sportsmen and racket players. It was an incredible final (I personally was not expecting to witness such a high standard of padel), but in the end. Metcalfe and Millar took the crown. Well done to them!
